City seeks $19M tax break in budget bill

The city of Cincinnati is seeking an amendment to the state budget bill that would eliminate up to $19 million in property tax liabilities caused by a series of recent rulings by Ohio?s Tax Commissioner. The amendment, attached to House Bill 153 in the Senate Finance Committee, ?exempts from property taxation a convention center and golf courses owned by the largest city in a county having a population greater than 750,000 but less than 850,000.?
